Gay McDougall, vice-chair of the United Nations' Committee on Racial Discrimination (CERD), addressed this video message to the 56th meeting of the Commission of the Churches on International Affairs (CCIA). The CCIA is an advisory body of the World Council of Churches (WCC), providing a joint advocacy platform to WCC member churches.

The 56th meeting of the WCC-CCIA took place in Bali, Indonesia, on 24 – 28 February 2019, discussing many of the most critical concerns of churches in the region and around the world.
