In a move to avert a repeat of the crisis that rocked the country after the disputed 2007 presidential elections and help in reconciling Kenyans, over 100 Women drawn from the larger Bungoma County have undergone a successful training on peace building and conflict resolution ahead of the March 4th, 2013 General Election. The training brought together women from all the constituencies in Bungoma County who spoke with one voice on the need to uphold peace before, during and after the elections. The women resolved to spread the gospel of peace not only in their Bungoma County but across the country to ensure Kenya does not fall on its knees like in late 2007 and early 2008.
