Ben Wigert is the Director of Research and Strategy for Gallup’s workplace management practice. He assesses human capital management needs and designs performance optimization strategies for organizations across the world. Dr. Wigert is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist and specializes in helping organizations improve their employee selection, development, engagement, performance management, and customer behavior programs.
Dr. Wigert is the lead author of Re-Engineering Performance Management, Gallup’s evidence-based perspective on how to evolve performance management practices. He leads a cross-functional team tasked with studying the continually changing performance needs of organizations and building solutions to prepare organizations for the workplace of the future.
Wigert has published work in a variety of applied psychology, business, and technology publications. His publications include more than 25 peer-reviewed conference papers, 7 journal articles, and 7 book chapters. Wigert has also served as a textbook editor and a reviewer for 5 academic journals.
