If you want a romantic movie with Diego Luna in it, watch the Book of Life and try and tell us that him singing “Can’t Help Falling In Love” is the most romantic thing you’ve ever heard.
Things to keep in mind:
- Paige talked briefly about the issue that many people had with “Selena” in that Jennifer Lopez was Puerto Rican, not Mexican. Same situation happens in this movie: Diego Luna is Mexican, not Cuban. Is it right or okay to do that?
- We liked that the movie never downplayed her assault by saying that it was "only" a kiss and not something more violent.
- We recognize that Romola Garai (the woman who plays Katie) isn't responsible for the bad writing.
