The Ocean Exploration Trust was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2008 by National Geographic Explorer at Large Dr. Robert Ballard to engage in pure ocean exploration. Using Exploration Vessel Nautilus, the Ocean Exploration Trust explores areas of the ocean that have never been explored or are poorly understood, seeking out new discoveries in the fields of geology, biology, maritime history, archaeology, and chemistry. Nautilus shares expeditions with students, the public and scientists on shore via live-streaming video from its ROVs and various locations 24/7 at www.nautiluslive.org. Explorer Classroom is aboard Nautilus to answer YOUR questions and help explore the Pacific Ocean floor!
