"In the absence of voyeurism #6 and #7" are site-specific pieces, installed in the public restrooms at 21c Museum Hotel. For this series, the blind eyes of seven individuals from a blind dart throwing group are captured on individual videos. These videos are displayed on small (life-size) LCD monitors embedded in mirrors. The videos are edited to give the impression that the eyes are traveling from monitor to monitor and that each eye appreciates the entire view.

Artist Sean Bidic is known on a daily basis by another name: Doctor. Born and raised in New Jersey, Bidic graduated with degrees in behavior and health care systems management from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He received his doctorate of medicine from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh. Between his general and plastic surgery training, Bidic was a research fellow at Carnegie Mellon University's Institute for Complex Engineered Systems and Robotics Institute. During this time he also found time to complete a Masters of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Art. His unique combination of academic and personal interests have led him to explore and develop exciting intersections between art and medicine. Aside from his time working with blind dart throwers, Doctor Bidic has worked on an array of interdisciplinary projects, including constructing a robotic upper extremity and developing synthetic bone substitutes.
