While Stephen went down to the pond to check on the activity of the pond monster, he noticed that Carters safe had fallen underwater again and it was sitting at the bottom of the pond, all abandoned. The reason there was a safe in pond was because, at first, Lizzy Sharer accidentally drove the safe into the pond. But today, the safe fell back in because the pond monster must have knocked it over. So Stephen yanked the safe out of the water and with the help of his brother, Steven and Carter worked together to crack open the safe to see what was inside.
