Consorzio Promovetro Murano for The Venice Glass Week 2018 presents "Glass Archipelago", an exhibition organized by Consorzio Promovetro Murano with the support of Regione del Veneto and in cooperation with Adiconsum Veneto and Federconsumatori.
Murano is not an island, but an archipelago of seven islands, connected by ten bridges. Within them the most famous glass pieces in the World is born from the expert hand of Muranese glass masters.
The Promovetro Consortium, which is the Vetro Artistico® Murano brand manager acts as a bridge between these different entrepreneurial realities and represents almost fifty factories.
For The Venice Glass Week 2018, the Promovetro Consortium has organized an exhibition that represents the multiplicity of Muranese art production through an innovative and immersive installation. The suspended structure of the installation aims to recall the topography of Murano: an archipelago of small and large entrepreneurial realities.
Multimedia devices will animate the glass, making reflections and original colors and details, highlighting the uniqueness of the exhibited objects and the high degree of professionalism of Muranese artisans.
Glass Archipelago is curated by architect Matteo Silverio and Visual Artist Matteo Silverio.
