Ms. Bineta Diop, WISE 2015 Keynotes - Implementing the New Education Agenda Video

Bineta Diop has been a human rights activist for 35 years. She is the Founder and Chair of the Executive Board of Femmes Africa Solidarité (FAS) a global NGO which seeks to foster, strengthen and promote the leadership role of women in conflict prevention, management and resolution in the African continent.

2/3 of illiterate adults are women and there are still 31 million girls who are out of school. Laws to protect girls and their education exist in many African countries but they are not implemented.

For her, empowering women in the African continent starts by generating an educated mass of men and women who will be champions for the women's empowerment agenda and become the agents of change.
