The contest has ended, and prize awarded. Our Waterfall Twists into Mermaid Braid {
http://youtu.be/Gc7p8IVVzbM} did so well back in May 2013, that we decided go for another mermaid braid look today!
This one is a half-up-half-down hairstyle with gorgeous definition in its stranding! A Mermaid Braid works just the same as a Lace Braid, however you are adding strands in on "both" sides of the braid, instead of just one. {You can think of it as an extremely fine stranded, but loose French Braid.}
I wouldn't recommend this style for anyone being very "active" throughout the day, such as PE, dance, or other athletics. This would be worn more for casual wear. Trust us, we have tried!
If you want to see your recreation photos featured in our CGH App, please feel free to tag your own photos of this hairstyle with: #CGHMermaidHalfBraid
You can carry the mermaid stranding all the way down the braid, if you would like, but we stopped half way because we loved the look! It is just a matter of personal preference.
Kamri has worn this Mermaid Half Braid a few times over the past several months, and her friends absolutely love it! She even said that a few boys commented on it, which is a huge shocker coming from boys her age!

For the giveaway, there is a total of 18 entries possible {however only 1 is required, and it's easy peasy}! If you complete the first one, the widget unlocks several other ways to gain bonus entries for a better chance to win!
The contest begins today and ends on Saturday, Sept 13th at 11:59pm CST. This is open internationally, and you must be age 18 or older to enter. If you are younger than that, a parent must enter. The widget picks the winner at random, on its own, we have no say at all. The widget will also ask for a valid email address, which is necessary for us email you should you win. The email is for winner notification purposes only, and will be deleted when the contest is over. The winner then has 24 hours to claim the gift, or another winner will be drawn. YouTube as a company is neither a sponsor of, nor affiliated with, this giveaway.
This isn't a sponsored post, and the gift item was purchased by me for the sole purpose of rewarding our viewers! Thanks to you all for being with us each week, and good luck in the giveaway!
π's to you all!

About the Site π
This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. π₯
Origins of the Idea π±
The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. π§
Challenges Faced π€
Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.
Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. π
Creating Truly Random Links π οΈ
The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.
About YouTube πΊ
YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. π
Content and Users π΅
Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.
While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.
Monetization and Impact π€
YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.
As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. π
