A huge thanks to everyone who told me how to make DIY clear slime. The solution was ridiculously simple, just leave the DIY slime alone for a few days and the bubbles will rise to the top. This worked perfectl, although the process took 7-8 days for me rather than 3-4 which many people said. I think my DIY slime had too many air bubbles during mixing ^_^"
The trick for making DIY slime without borax is baking soda which creates alkaline pH conditions in the glue. This "activates" the borate inside eye drops or contact lens solution which causes the PVA to clump together, thus creating slime. I've been fascinated by beautiful videos of DIY thai slime / DIY indonesian slime on Instagram and I've been trying to remake those since the beginning of this year. I'm so happy that it's finally working and I've learned a bit of science along the way.
