Drawing on my example of painting a room, I discuss two lessons that are important for writing. First, it is important to show your raw material and be comfortable with the fact that you're showing around material to others before you believe it is finished. Being raw and authentic will help you develop your writing even more.
Second, is also important to know that writing is a process that takes time. Each moment or stage in the writing process is rough and incomplete. You will only feel comfortable with your writing once you have repeatedly received feedback from others that you will feel comfortable with your work.
