The fans in Cleveland are extremely loyal and they deserve a winning football team. In his rookie year, he ended the Browns' drought of not winning a game in 635 days. He also threw the most touchdowns in a season by a rookie, passing Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson. The Browns won 7 games this past season, but they could have won more and maybe even made the playoffs if they started Mayfield from the beginning of the season. A lot of people felt that he should have won Offensive Rookie of the Year, but Saquon Barkley won it. Mayfield is now in talks to be the MVP next year because the team recently acquired superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The Browns have high expectations next season because they have a lot of stars on their team like Odell, Jarvis Landry, Antonio Callaway, David Njoku, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Olivier Vernon, Myles Garrett, Denzel Ward, and many others. The expectations are really high next season and many people believe that they will win the AFC North and have a deep run in the playoffs. Some of his top plays and highlights from this past season was catching a touchdown pass from Jarvis Landry and throwing four touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals. He will definitely be on the "NFL Top 100 Players" list this year because of his extraordinary rookie season. Leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft, many people thought that Mayfield would be selected somewhere in the middle of the first round. It was a little surprising when the Browns drafted him with the first overall pick and now they have a real possibility next year to win the Super Bowl.
