I apply petroleum jelly around my forehead, ears, and other exposed areas. also remove all my jewelry, and contacts prior to beginning.
I just didn't feel the need to relax my hair, that is why it ended up being 19 weeks because I can manage my hair with new growth. it is a personal preference to relax my hair. (I relax my hair anywhere after 12 weeks post)
I allow the relaxer to set after smoothing for 7-15 mins in order to keep texture in my hair.
I neutralize 3x after rinsing to make sure it's all gone from my hair and that it stops processing.
