The past is like the ghost of a famous dead celebrity. It keeps coming back to haunt you but you don't give a shit. As with so many low key moments in our tormented existence (The Great Flood, The Cretaceous Paleogene Extinction Event, the death of Amy Winehouse) this video started life with a song. After his ballooning accident, that saw his entire skeletal system being replaced, Dudanski woke up in hospital next to Ten Pianos who was recovering from the bathysphere incident that led to his entire musculo-cellular network being rebuilt from scratch. They hit it off! A month later, the pair crowded into a studio. Dudanski beat time (backwards) while Ten Pianos scurried a bunch of sounds on top. The piano you can hear on this outing is an 1892 upright Beckstein.
Travelling forward in time but before his accident (don't ask me - paradox!!), Dudanski located a coincident temporal node containing the iconic Luna. Skulls, woods richly woven with Lorca's favourite tree - el chopo aka the poplar, palatial warehouses with creaking Otis elevators - the video is, in essence, an illustration of the Arrow Paradox as mooted by ancient philosopher Zeno of Elea. Zeno's flying arrow can't move elsewhere because no time has elapsed for it to get there. And the arrow can't move to the point in space it occupies because it's already there. However, Zeno missed one other option. The arrow can, using cheap tricks such as nostalgia and palaeontology, scurry back in time.
