Rava kichadi or Veg Rava Upma seivathu eppadi nu intha video la pakalam.Vegetable rava upma recipe in tamil is very easy 15 mins breakfast recipe.Rava upma with vegetables is delicious and can be serve with sambar or chutney.
Rava khichadi is made up of rava or suji.We will get different types of rava(suji).
Before making rava khichadi
1.Dry roast rava (250 gms)
2.Cut all veggies required for this (Carrot -1,Beans-5 to 6,Green peas -6 to 8)
3.Get ready with chopped onions(2),Green chilies(2),Some curry leaves,Some Ginger peices
Rava upma or Rava khichadi preparation step by step:
1.Add Ghee+oil in heavy bottom pan
2.Add Musturd seeds(1/2 tsp),Urad dal(1/2 tsp)
3.Once mustard seeds gets splutter,Add ginger piceas(3 to 4)
4.Add Onion and some curry leaves
5.After one minute,add all veggies and let it cook for 3 mins.
6.Then add turmeric powder,Chilli powder and some salt.
7.Let it cook for another 5 mins then add water
Water ratio for Upma
Rava:Water
1:2
8.Add measured water and let it boil.
9.Then add dry roasted rava into it.
10.After five mins,check for water,if you have rava(big size) then sprikle some water to it and close the lid for another 5mins so that the rava get cooked nicely.
11.If poured water is sufficient then,add oil to the corners of the pan let it cook for another 5 mins.
12.After five mins pour ghee(1 tbs) and off the flame,and let the rava khichadi for 15 mins.
13.Then serve rava khichadi with sambar or chutney.
