I get many email and questions asking me "how much money do I need to start a business?" So here is a video answer. While the question of how much money do I need to start a business may seem like a very broad question, believe it or not, there is actually a very exact answer. In fact, there is a procedure to identify how much money is needed to start a business.

When you try to calculate how much money is needed to start a business, try to make two itemized lists. The first list will be expenses you will incur before you actually start your business. Those expenses may be legal help, accounting help, company setup and registration, lease of any office or space, etc. The second list you should create is a list of expenses that you will incur after you start your business. Those expenses can be marketing costs, lease costs, employee salaries, and much more.

And, of course, when you try to understand how much money is needed to start a business, add projected revenues to the second list to offset the expenses. And project that you will need to be in business 12-18 months on average before the business becomes self-sustaining. And that is how much money you need to start a business.

This video answers the question: How much money do I need to start a business?

It might seem as bit of an open-ended question that is not specific enough, and it may be easy to brush it aside, but there is a way to calculate how much money is needed to start a business.

When wondering how much money you need to start a business, just create an itemized list. The first set of items on that list would be expenses you would incur to launch this business. The next set of items would be the monthly expenses while you are running this business. Next to that second set of items, also add sources of revenue.

This itemized list is called a cash flow analysis statement. It is actually a part of your business plan. Here is the video for more details on how to make a cash flow analysis statement:

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
