Forte Numbers: A Name For Every Chord Video

Theorists love naming things. There's nothing quite like the feeling you get from evocative titles like the Petrushka Chord, the Prometheus Scale, or... 4-Z15B? Well, ok, not all of them can be glamorous. There's just too many sets of notes out there to give them all awesome names, but sometimes we just need to describe a thing in a clear, easy-to-understand way, and that's where Forte Numbers come in. Devised by Allen Forte, they're an attempt to systematically name every possible combination of notes, and they pack a huge amount of information into just a few little numbers and letters. They also open the door to the whole field of musical set theory, the study of groups of notes, so pay attention, we'll probably be coming back to this.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍

Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.
