http://www.facebook.com/teknoaxehttp://www.reverbnation.com/teknoaxeThe original motivation for making a '120 BPM' version of 'The Okinawa Dance' was to buff up my Electro track list for a Summer Electro Mix that would eventually happen in May 2013. The amount of effort that went into the original 120BPM version wasn't much and, in retrospect, the mix wasn't all that great.
Luckily, I decided to remaster this one too, although there is a lot more to this remaster than putting this through the Isotope Ozone software. The verse sections now have a more funky bassline that balances out the minimal high and rhythmic synths at the top.
I swapped out the original drums with the ones I made earlier this year. It seemed to work a lot better with the tone I wanted to go after.
Also added into the mix were several pads and arps and one very special ring mod synth that responds to the initial drop glissando instead of giving that glissando synth all the glory.
