是枝裕和監督の最新作『三度目の殺人』予告編。『そして父になる』から4年、是枝監督と2度目のタッグとなる福山雅治を主演に、是枝組初参加となる役所広司を迎えた本作は、監督が近年描いてきたホームドラマから一転し、かねてより挑戦したいと考えていた法廷を舞台にした心理サスペンス！

＜ストーリー＞
　真実なんていらない。弁護士は、そう信じていた。
それは、ありふれた裁判のはずだった。殺人の前科がある三隅(役所広司)が解雇された工場の社長を殺し、火をつけた容疑で起訴された。犯行も自供し、死刑はほぼ確実だった。その弁護を担当することになった、重盛(福山雅治)。裁判をビジネスと割り切る彼は、どうにか無期懲役に持ちこむために調査を始める。
何かが、おかしい。調査を進めるにつれ、重盛の中で違和感が生まれていく。三隅の供述は会うたびに変わる。動機さえも。なぜ殺したのか？本当に彼が殺したのか？得体のしれない三隅に呑みこまれているのか？弁護に真実は必要ない。そう信じていた弁護士が、初めて心の底から真実を知りたいと願う。
やがて、三隅と被害者の娘・咲江(広瀬すず)の接点が明らかになり、新たな事実が浮かび上がる──。
