https://goo.gl/wdT6WAThe Gibson "Steinberger-Mod" "Headless SG" makes into every internet list for 'Most Bizarre Guitar,' Ugliest Guitar,' Craziest Modifications Done to Guitars." However, there was only 1 blurry photo of this guitar circulating and no one could uncover any more evidence that it truly existed. No one knew if it was real or not. It was very possible it was just a very nice photoshop job.
I featured this guitar's one photo on Episode #9 of my series called "Would You Rock or Not?" This was posted before my channel got a lot of views (200 or so per video), but many months later someone that knew the owner of the guitar altered him to my video. Then, before I knew it, I was in negotiations with the owner of this guitar to buy it.
Why did I buy this guitar? Well, quite simply, I love the inventiveness of this guitar. Not everyone fixes broken headstocks like this - that's for sure! I wanted to give the internet an up-close look at this guitar and hear how it sounds.
It plays and sounds fantastic! The tuning stability could be a little bit better, but it is livable. I think there are a few further modifications that could be made to fix the slight tuning issues.
The story behind this guitar is the headstock was broken twice and traded to the previous owner for some time in his studio. He did have a Gibson at the time, so he invested $100 in parts and fixed this guitar up the way you see it now. He wasn't much of an SG player once he got other Gibsons, so this was mainly a wall hanger for him. I don't believe he even realized this had become a 'guitar meme' in the meantime.
I'm really happy that I was able to get this guitar. If you're interested in owning this internet-famous guitar, feel free to reach out. I'm quite fond of it, but could be convinced to sell it for the right price.

About the Site π
This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. π₯
Origins of the Idea π±
The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. π§
Challenges Faced π€
Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.
Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. π
Creating Truly Random Links π οΈ
The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.
About YouTube πΊ
YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. π
Content and Users π΅
Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.
While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.
Monetization and Impact π€
YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.
As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. π
