Including [SPOILERS]:

5 - Monte Cristo Homestead:
Witness to a string of violent deaths since its construction in 1885, Monte Cristo Homestead is known as the most haunted house in Australia. A stable boy burnt alive by his furious master, an infant hurled to their death from a staircase, and a pregnant maid pushed from a balcony.

4 - Mansfield Reformatory:
In December of 1999, Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio was shut down by the federal court due to overcrowding and inhumane conditions. Stories of abuse, torture, suicide and murder are integral aspects of its blood-soaked history …

3 - Pendle Hill:
In 1612 ten people were hung on the wild moorlands of Lancashire, UK, having been found guilty of witchcraft on Pendle Hill.
They dealt in spells and curses. Local people had died agonising deaths caused by mysterious illnesses. Milk was turned blue.
Pendle Hill had such a reputation for black magic that locals avoided venturing there, for fear of inciting the witches’ fury.

2 - Okinawa Cliffs:
The cliffs of Okinawa in Japan are well-known for their outstanding natural beauty… and their shocking number of suicides.
During the WWII Battle of Okinawa, thousands of local people committed mass suicide preferring to hurl themselves and their families from the cliff tops, than face the brutality of capture.
To this day, many visitors report sightings of ghostly figures re-enacting their last, fateful jump.

1 - La Isla de la Muñecas:
Near Mexico City, there is an island unlike any other. It is known as La Isla de la Muñecas, or, The Island of the Dolls. In the 1950s, a man named Julian moved to the island. At night, he would hear the chilling whispers of a young girl’s voice. Scared, he sought to appease the child spirit by buying her dolls … Julian’s bloated body was discovered face down in the water, in the same spot where a little girl had drowned years before.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. 🎥

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced 🤔

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍

Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube 📺

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎵

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact 🤑

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. 📈
