Galahs' Late Afternoon Snack ๏_๏ Video

By now I have so very many videos in the computer vaults. Sometimes I reappraise them weeks, or months, later, and then decide they have merit, beauty, or some worth. These galahs were filmed on 23rd November, 2013. I was only just learning to use the tripod and the telescopic lens back then, for the first time.

I thought one galah in this video was not hungry, but just biting his foot for something to do, or because he was itchy; but I've since decided he was actually holding seeds hidden between his toes.

I grew up in a farming area where these birds were oftentimes considered vermin. But galahs are indeed very pretty birds. I think they are well worth the "wild bird mix" I toss out for them every day.
