Watch this video about the Kevin Durant controversy: I react to questions like whether Kevin should he have played in the first place, do athletes need their own doctors & what’s next for him?

As we all know by now, Kevin Durant suffered an Achilles tear injury in game 5 of the NBA finals against the Toronto Raptors after being off for a month with a query “calf strain” that he had suffered during the Western Conference final in May.

Because the two injuries happened so close together, people are speculating that Kevin Durant’s “calf strain” may have been an Achilles injury but of a less severe nature that the Golden State Warriors were trying to keep secret.

In this video, I will talk about what I think was going on with Kevin Durant with regard to Achilles tendonitis, Achilles injuries, what causes them and how they are different from a calf strain. I will also talk about the question of whether athletes should have their own doctors. People wonder this after Kevin Durant was played if he could have been hurt. Lastly, I will talk about what I think is next for Kevin Durant in terms of recovery and getting back to playing basketball.

If you enjoyed this video about Kevin Durant and the controversy surrounding his Achilles tear injury, like, comment and subscribe to my channel.

Stay tuned for future videos where I react to sports injuries and other life fails. I will also talk about things like working out and fitness, bodyweight training, the importance of functional fitness and mobility training in terms of injury prevention and preventative medicine. Of course, I will talk about medicine and orthopedics, orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, and what it’s like being a surgeon (because that’s what I am), medical school and residency and what it’s all like. If you have any specific topics, suggestions, or questions that you want me to answer, just let me know in the comments.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. 🎥

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced 🤔

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍

Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube 📺

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎵

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact 🤑

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. 📈
