In that video I showed you how to create a simple Apple Script app that lets you connect AirPods to your Mac in a single click! I’ll include a link to the video in the description below so you can check that out if you haven’t already.
During that video I offered to provide a download link for the little AirPods icon I made for the script app if the video reached 100 likes. As of this writing the video has only reached 76 likes. However, I really do appreciate all those people who have watched and gave the video a thumbs up. So to show my appreciation I’m releasing the download link in the description below anyway to show my thanks! Also in this video and I’m going to do a short tutorial to show you how to download and use it to change the icon of your apple script app so it can look like mine! So Let’s get to it!
First you’ll need to download the icon! In the description below you can click on or copy and paste the link labeled “AirPods Icon”. I’m going to copy it from my notes app here, and paste it in safari, but you can use any web browser. The link will take you to my google drive where you’ll see the file name in upper left hand corner “AirPodsIcon.icns”. Just click the blue “Download” button the in the middle of the screen. Once you’ve downloaded the file I’d recommend putting the file somewhere easy for you to find, like the desktop as I am in this demonstration.
Now you can go to your apple script app and right click or control click on it. I put mine in the applications folder with a shortcut on the dock. So when you right click or control click on it, choose options and then click “show in finder”. Now that you can see it in the finder window right click or control click the script app and choose “Get Info”. Now we just need to drag the “AirPodsIcon.icns” file over the apps icon in the info window to change the icon, and boom you’re done!
Now you too can have that cool icon on your own personalized apple script app to connect your AirPods to your Mac! I think it looks kinda cool!!
