For many Christians, what stands in the way of keeping God first? Secret idols and false gods. Most people have at least one, many have a bunch. Potential idols false gods are everywhere, but when they’re in our hearts, that’s bad news! Putting God first, by choosing Jesus over everything and any other potential idol is a day by day struggle, but one we must fight. In this Bible devotional, we’ll see some common idols that many worship and sacrifice to, but may not even know it! Taking a look at Acts 14:15, we’ll see what God’s word has to say about keeping God first, and turning away from false gods and worthless dead idols.

Acts 14:15 – “We bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.”
