The Martian has been nominated for multiple Academy Awards including Best Adapted Screenplay, and it’s a surprisingly close adaption of the novel it’s based on. Now it’s time for us to read between the lines to find the differences between the book and the film. Subscribe:
http://goo.gl/9AGRmThe Martian tells the story of astronaut Mark Watney (played by Matt Damon in the film) who is left stranded on Mars after the rest of his crew-mates think that he’s been killed. Both the book and the film follow Watney as he struggles to figure out a way to survive as long as he can while desperately hoping he can make it long enough to be rescued. Unlike most of our What’s the Difference subject matter, The Martian movie stays incredibly close to the book, with only a few changes made in order to keep the film interesting. At that, it’s time pull back the proverbial shower curtain on all the differences between the book and the film.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍
