2016 Singles Case D has started to hit Walmart stores in the US and has been available on Amazon for $3.99 each, but in limited quantities (links below). 2016 Case D includes four completely new die-casts: Sedanya Oskanian (Autobahn Society Vehicle #1), Stefan Gremsky, Justin Partson, and Brake Boyd. The case also includes four notable re-releases: Patti, Galloping Geargrinder, Fred, and Eugene Carbureski (Tank Coat #36).
‣Patti is Mario Andretti's assistant in the first Cars movie and was only previously released in 2009 as a part of the Race-O-Rama Collection.
‣Fred is one of the rusty vehicles supporting Rust-Eze and appeared in the Rust-Eze tent, at the LA Speedway, and at the end of the movie sporting several bumper stickers. Fred was originally released in 2007 and has received several releases and variations since.
‣Galloping Geargrinder appeared in the beginning of the second Cars movie during the scene when McQueen and Mater take off their tires and hop on railway tracks. McQueen and Mater enter a tunnel, but come out screaming because they thought there was a large train coming. It happened to be just Galloping Geargrinder playing a trick on them. Galloping Geargrinder was only previously released in 2012.
‣Eugene Carbureski (Tank Coat #36) is a Piston Cup racer and is representing the company Tank Coat. Eugene has been released several times in the past, but the 2016 release is his first single release with plastic tires.
‣Brake Boyd appeared in the LA Speedway stadium just before the jets flew over and is the father of Coriander Widetrack.
‣Stefan Gremsky is one of the lemons who appeared on the oil rig during the scene where Finn McMissile is surrounded on the helicopter platform.
‣Justin Partson appeared at the Paris Parts Market as Mater, Finn, and Holley were passing through. Justin appeared next to a flatbed truck who also getting released this year.
‣Sedanya Oskanian (Autobahn Society Vehicle #1) is one of the members of the Autobahn Society that appeared in Lightning McQueen's dream about having a Dinoco sponsorship.
