In today’s video I am going to show you how and where to pronounce “ the “ correctly. many of you are struggling with pronouncing “ the” but cannot pronounce it properly. So, in this class you will be shown two easy ways to pronounce them in English. So, let’s begin.
if you want to learn the two important sounds of “ the” , you need to enjoy the video from the very beginning to the end. there is a lot of confusion over the pronunciation of the definite Article “ the” . normally “ the “ is pronounced in two ways , they are vowel sound and consonant sound. in terms of consonant sound “ the ( th-uh) will be pronounced . on the other hand in terms of vowel sound ( th-ee ) will be pronounced.
in this video , you are going to learn the correct pronunciation of “ the “ in the vowel and consonant sounds. now I am going to teach you the sounds of both vowel and consonant by giving example on different words and sentences. generally there are two rules of this article words. see the following rules .
Rule : 1
“ The “ ( th-uh) is pronounced before consonant sound.
Example with word:
The book .
The pen.
The man.
The people.
The banana.
The European.
The University.
The car.
The country.
The woman.
The football.
Rule : 2
The ( th-ee ) is pronounced before Vowel sound.
Example with word.
a = The apple.
e = The elephant / The end.
i = The ice cream.
o = The orange.
u = The umbrella.
The honest man.
