Home
Quick Note: I absolutely love my Range Rover, but there's no denying that there are some things that are just broken and not right on it. Most of which, though, are actually my fault. So nevertheless, let's jump into this video explaining everything currently wrong and broken on my 2011 L322 Range Rover HSE Lux with nearly 124,000 miles on it.

More About This Video

In this video, we'll go over everything wrong with my 2011 Land Rover Range Rover HSE Lux L322 to give you an idea of what it's like owning a 124,000 mile 7 year old Range Rover L322 with the lux package.

The L322 Range Rover is still to this day the best 4x4xfar, but with such greatness comes a few flaws here and there. As much as I adore my L322, there’s no denying that there are a few issues with it, and I figured it was finally time to do a video going into what these little issues are.

First off, let’s talk about the exterior. Aside from being dirty, the exterior is in pretty good shape. There are a few bumps and bruises, though, that were there from the day I bought it.

On top of that, though, I may have driven into an object in the garage. The parking sensors are useful about 90% of the time. Other times, they can be quite a bit delayed… So this one right here was from running into a shelf in the garage. Whoops.

On top of that, there are some paint chips from rocks coming up on the road that need to be retouched. I’m not too concerned with those, though, as long as they’re retouched. So if you have Santorini black paint for the L322 Range Rover HSE Lux, let me know!

There’s also the gas cap lock that I broke… I don’t know how to explain this without sounding like a complete fool, so I’ll just go all out. When I bought the Range Rover, I was fascinated by the fact that I could lock it and watch the nipple on the gas cap lock go in and out.

One day, though, while I was in Atlanta getting gas to pick up the 7 Series, I started messing with it. It got stuck, so I tried to pull it out. And then it never came back. So… there you go… Let’s never speak of that again.

There’s a spontaneous fault with the air suspension that has come up ever since I bought it almost 30,000 miles ago. It’s never resulted in anything happening, and absolutely nothing is wrong with the air suspension. In fact, it makes no sense to me that this fault randomly chooses to come up.

Land Rover techs have checked it at multiple shops, and none of them have ever had a real answer aside from - yeah, it’ll do that. We don’t know why.

So for whatever reason, it throws a warning occasionally when nothing is wrong. I suspect from that it could be a height sensor since the compressor and struts seem to be fine. Especially considering it’s happened randomly for almost two years now since the day I bought it and had it inspected. Land Rover…

Aside from that, the only thing I have scheduled is a gearbox service thanks to some recommendations in the comments. That’ll be done shortly, and we’ll move on.

Let’s talk about the new issues that came up last week. The plastic piece in this air vent has just disappeared. It snapped out last week into the floor where I then placed it back into the handle.

On top of that, the sun visor clip is still not fixed, so Rachel the Rover just flaps a mirror at me occasionally. It’s never been annoying, so I’ve just never fixed it. I go by the motto that if you leave one thing broken, nothing else will break. Land Rover doesn’t follow those rules, though. Clearly…

Last, but most importantly, is the dashboard seal or glue that has come undone. Apparently with the best 4x4xfar, dash issues are common on anything from the LR3 to the Series 3 to the L320 and L322. It comes and goes like a good hooker, but it’s not something I’m too concerned with for now.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. 🎥

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced 🤔

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍

Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube 📺

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎵

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact 🤑

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. 📈
