You may never appreciate the gift of life
Till you gamble with death and life
My hands reached for the light and I became numb
I should be over this by rule of thumb
But here I was battling and failing incredibly
The pain my companion, my Indepth feeling
In this moment I felt the life fading
It was all so familiar this sailing
On this sea that leads to the great beyond
I have indeed sailed before
I vowed that would be my last sailing
But here was, going on another voyage
When would it end, this gut wrenching!?
When would I stop this constant battling?!
I believe in second chances
But what about many instances?
My life is not in my hands
My actions say otherwise
But in this moment of trial I felt loved
All my dearest ones got involved
Oh what a feeling to know
That I will be sorely missed when I go
I am grateful for good health and life as a whole. Despite the challenges and attacks and all that weighs me down, I am still here, up and running.
