Getting comfortable on camera. It's a topic we get asked about all the time at Primal Video, and when on a shoot with clients. It's also something I've struggled with personally - and you never quite realise this yourself until YOU'RE the one in front of the camera. Here are our tips!

--- How To Get Comfortable on Camera, Faster! ---
For those of you that've been watching my videos since we setup the channel, you'll see it definitely takes time. I'm by no means fantastic today, but I cringe when I look back at some of those original videos. I looked like a deer in the headlights! (I don't think I blinked once in the first 10 videos...) If you haven't seen them, check out the channel - they're still there as a painful reminder ;)
It's not all doom and gloom. As with everything, time is the BEST way to get better - BUT there are a few simple practices you should implement to accelerate the process, and get some quick wins along the way.
These are by no means new! There's nothing groundbreaking here. But this is what I found works the best for my clients over the years, and myself included now that Iβm in front of the camera.
There is NO silver bullet there, you'll still need to practice. It takes time. But these simple tools will DEFINITELY help to accelerate your results!
If you found any of these tips helpful, we'd really appreciate a share, thumbsup or a comment. If not - thumb it down, we'd love the feedback! Make sure to subscribe over at PrimalVideo.com/subscribe to receive all our weekly updates - and I'll see you next time.

About the Site π
This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. π₯
Origins of the Idea π±
The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. π§
Challenges Faced π€
Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.
Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. π
Creating Truly Random Links π οΈ
The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.
About YouTube πΊ
YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. π
Content and Users π΅
Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.
While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.
Monetization and Impact π€
YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.
As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. π
