How to Turn Right at Complex Intersections Video

Home
On a road test, you will be required to turn right at complex intersections. Watch the video! PASS YOUR ROAD TEST FIRST TIME CHECKLIST: https://www.smartdrivetest.com/pass-road-test-checklist SUBSCRIBE TODAY! β–Ί http://youtube.com/c/smartdrivetest

For the purposes of any road test there are 4 fundamental components:

1) Speed management
2) Space management
3) Observation
4) Communication

All of these skills are put into play when turning right at complex intersections. At many of these intersections, drivers are multi-tasking at a high level. It is not that the manoeuvre is complicated, but rather that there are numerous actions, skills and hazards that can present themselves when turning right at a complex intersection. And often this manoeuvre is further complicated the by the "WRONG" actions of other drivers.

When turning right it is important that you mirror, signal, shoulder check approximately 1/2 block before the turn. If there is a cyclist lane, you must shoulder check before crossing the bicycle lane. And you must scan the intersection well ahead to ensure you see pedestrians and other vulnerable road users. If there are pedestrians you must stop before the pedestrians crosswalk and give the right-of-way to pedestrians and other road users.

Often complex intersections will have slip lanes. And these slip lanes are equipped with YIELD signs. If the way is clear and there isn't any cross-traffic you don't have to stop, but ensure that you scan thoroughly before proceeding.

When turning right and there are multiple lanes, be sure that you stay in the right hand lane. Do not turn right and then deviate over into the left hand turn. This action could potential cause you to fail a road test. And when turning right, if you drift or move over to the left lane - it is dangerous and may eventually lead to a crash.

If you're turning right and vehicles are turning left from the opposite side of the intersection, do not turn in beside these vehicles. Again this is dangerous because many drivers making a left turn often deviate immediately over to the right-hand lane. Therefore, when making a right hand turn at a complex intersection always turn in behind the other vehicles as defensive posturing. In other words, it is a defensive technique that will lower the risk of being involved in a crash.

Turning forms the basis for speed & space management. These are the fundamental components on which you will be tested. On multi-lane urban roads, there is a correct procedure for turning right. On turning lanes, there are several steps and procedures that must be followed correctly to be successful on your road test. Both the incorrect and correct procedures for turning right at slip lanes are outlined in this video.

Good luck on your road test!

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
