https://mocomi.com/ presents: Famous April Fools Pranks.
If you like to play pranks on people you should definitely know the most famous pranks played around the world.
April Fools’ Day is one those fun-filled days that is eagerly awaited by the children of all age groups and adults alike. Many practical jokes are played on unsuspecting people on this special day. Now, how did this bizarre tradition begin? Well, there are many theories about how April Fools’ Day originated.
In 1976, famous astronomer Sir Patrick Moore told Radio 2 listeners that since Pluto would pass behind Jupiter, the Earth’s gravity would be reduced a bit and if they jumped in the air at 9:47 a.m. on April 1, they would be able to experience a strange floating sensation. Many people did exactly as he had said, but of course none was able to levitate in the air.
Google has been consistent in hitting the people worldwide with its April Fools’ pranks. In 2010, it ‘officially’changed its name to ‘Topeka.’ In 2011, it announced the release of a ‘new product’ called ‘Gmail Motion’ that supposedly let users send and receive e-mails using gestures. Then, the company announced that it is going to shut down its popular video-sharing site ‘YouTube.’
In France, people still attach paper fish to one another’s backs.
The people in Philippines paint their victims with yellow dye.
In Scotland, April Fools’ Day is known as Taily Day. The victims of these jokes are called as April 'Gowk,' another name for cuckoo bird.
In England, the jokes and pranks are played only in the morning. The victims are called a 'gobby' or a 'noodle’. Playing a practical joke on someone in the afternoon or evening is considered to be bad luck.
In Portugal, on April Fools’ Day, people throw flour at their friends.

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. 🎥
Origins of the Idea 🌱
The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠
Challenges Faced 🤔
Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.
Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍
Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️
The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.
About YouTube 📺
YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟
Content and Users 🎵
Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.
While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.
Monetization and Impact 🤑
YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.
As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. 📈
