Dunluce Castle - Causeway Coast - Northern Ireland-Things to do in Northern Ireland #castle #antrim Video

Home
Exploring Northern Ireland and bringing the most beautiful attractions found around it is the mission we are on. In county Antrim, Northern Ireland, we visited Bushmills, Dunluce Castle, the Causeway Coast in order to bring the beauty of these places to those thinking about visiting Northern Ireland and still putting down a plan.

Bushmills is a village on the north coast of county Antrim, Northern Ireland, and the reason behind carrying this name goes back to the River Bush as well as the large watermill that was built there in the early 17th century; both resulting in giving this place the "Bushmills" name - which is also now taken and given to Ireland's oldest whiskey brand.

A lot of you might be asking now why would this village be an attraction in Northern Ireland and why we are even visiting it. The answer for this question goes to two different important places - at least we think they are worth the visit - the first one is the Old Bushmills Distillery which is considered the oldest in Ireland (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTeje9zaee8) and the second place is the Giant's Causeway which attracts more than two million visitors per year (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBt0eCAHfnU).

We have been to both places; the distillery as well as the Giant's Causeway and we enjoyed being at both places. The distillery is interesting for the idea of experiencing how the oldest one in Ireland looks like and where it is found, while the Giant's Causeway is interesting because one gets the chance to see this area of interlocking basalt columns which occurred as a result of an ancient volcanic eruption.

Through this trip which we have been to this time and in addition to visiting the village of Bushmills, we have also been to Dunluce Castle. Dunluce Castle is located on the edge of a basalt outcropping in county Antrim, between Portballintrae and Portrush. This castle is now considered a ruined building that stands there from the medieval times and is connected with a bridge to the mainland, it is surrounded by extremely steep drops on either side of it, which might have been important back in the old days to the Christians and vikings who were attracted to this place. Entering this castle and checking what it has from the inside regarding the rooms is now allowed for people and we have been there, the thing is that as much as it might seem interesting for people to get inside and check the old bricks of this building, it is still considered an empty ruined place that some people might not find interesting, the thing we are astonished about is the view it will offer for being located on those cliffs for those who will come to check it eventually (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdTqJPL-i5Y).

The Causeway Coast is the place which we could refer to as the breathtaking view which will provide a different kind of experience for those passing by it. The Causeway Coast is a long route that could take you through different destinations and two of these destinations are the ones we have visited during this trip - Bushmills and Dunluce Castle - but there are others which might also carry their importance in the tourism of Northern Ireland, such as the Glens where the coastline merges with a deep silent glens and lush forest parks.

The Causeway Coastal Route is considered one of the world's great road journeys that one could go on and experience for the different places it will take people through. It will take them through Bushmills, Dunluce Castle, the Giant's Causeway, Belfast by passing through Titanic Museum, Ulster Museum, Belfast Castle, and Crumlin Road Gaol (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kX_5KuuSUE), completing the journey with Carrickfergus Castle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nklp9Y0FTLI), the Gobbins, Carnfunnock Country Park (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7dpnG6P2Kk), Slemish, Glenarm Castle and Walled Garden, the Glens of Antrim, Cushendun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWbVObIcnHw), Torr Head, Bonamargy Friary, the Dark Hedges (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9v_pzK1Y2g), Rathlin Island, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge,, Ballintoy Harbour (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Aa4aOOU90c), Whitepark Bay, Downhill Demesne, Binevenagh, Magilligan Point, Roe Valley Country Park, and Derry- Londonderry; it is actually a long road trip and journey that brings lots of those destinations and things that one should visit in Northern Ireland - you should think about this trip while being there.

We believe that in addition to passing by the old buildings and checking all those cultural related spots and locations, one should also give himself/herself the chance to see the beauty of nature, whether it is translated in the seas and rivers, translated in gardens, or even in the overall view that is also about cliffs and the merge between them all.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
