We upgraded to the GTI brakes a while back, however the brake pads could have been upgraded from those. In this video, we compare the difference between the stock pads, and EBC yellow stuff brake pads. We ONLY changed over the pads in the front, and we saw an average of a 25% decrease in stopping distance.

http://amzn.to/2utFoVPThe first 3 runs with the stock pads, from a 60 kilometre per hour roll, was 47.5, 49.5 and 51 feet respectively, averaging to 49.3 feet. We noticed that the brakes diminished performance with more heat and kept getting worse.
The 3 runs with the EBC pads, also from a 60 kph roll were 41, 42, and 36.5 feet, averaging a stopping distance of 39.8 feet. We noticed that the stopping distance went up after the first stop, meaning the brakes weren’t warmed up yet, however after the second stop, we noticed a large decrease in stopping distance, meaning the pads got warmed up to operating temperatures. Overall, the aftermarket pads outperformed the OEM pads in every aspect, however we noticed that there was more brake dust with these EBC brakes. It is a tradeoff that we are willing to accept.
