Female Engineer, Street Running Train Down The Center Of The Road! Franklin Ohio Local Freight Train Video

Home
Street running freight train with a woman railroad engineer in Franklin, Ohio. This is a true street runner track that cars can drive on and you can see them following this train. The train is in the street on one of Ohio's few rare street tracks. This is a Norfolk Southern local switcher working the last customer on this industrial spur that uses the street running track for access. This spur comes off the NS main, crosses the Great Miami River and then ends at R Good Industries in Franklin, Ohio. It is very difficult to find a train on this line since it isn't used every day. I have a couple other videos of this line including one that shows the train switching the customer. On the day of this video I got here about 10:30am and waited until noon for the train. It didn't look like the spur was going to have a train this day so we left but I kept my scanner on 160.980 just in case I heard the local. Guess what?! About 2:30pm I heard the crew tell the dispatcher that they were leaving some cars on the second main near Middletown, Ohio and then heading down the Franklin Industrial Spur. That was pure luck! We headed back to Franklin and filmed the street runner coming and going. They were using an SD40E to take 2 cars to R Good Industries Franklin Yard and then return light to work Atlas which is a customer on the spur on the opposite side of the river. This is only the second freight train that I have filmed with a female engineer.Leave a comment below telling me if you have filmed a female engineer. On this day I also went to nearby Germantown, Ohio to check out the Dupps Railroad. I filmed Newberry Railroad Contractors installing another track for Dupps. That is a good sign because that 5 mile railroad only operates out to the CSX main about a half dozen times a year. See my video of Dupps Railroad operating their small red switcher. I also have a few more videos of the street running trains at Franklin Ohio in my Street Running playlist. Filmed August 18, 2020.

Thanks for watching! Please leave a comment and thumbs up to help my channel.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
