1.from web browser type 192.168.1.1
2.enter username "admin" password "admin" and click login.(its a default username and password,you can change it later)
3.wait for line status from "initializing" to "connected" (once connected,you can see current rates,max rates,SNR margin,Line Attenuation,Errors for upstream and downstream)
Line Status Connected means from your Home router/modem to exchange line connection is OK & no problem in line connection. your can further check your line status by analyzing the upstream downstream data.if your are within the 1 km radius from your exchange you will get best SNR Margin and Less Line Attenuation.as distance increases attenuation increases and Signal SNR margin decreases.
SNR is Your Line Strength.too many Joint,old wire and noisy neighbor brings down your SNR Margin
0-10 - very bad
10-20 - little bad
20-30 - good
30-40 - excellent
40-50 - congratulations, you live right next to the exchange

4.now click on "Quick setup"
5.enter VPI (Virtual Path Identifier) = 0
VCI (Virtual Channel Identifier) = 32 for bsnl (bharat sanchar nigam limited) broadband internet connection.
6.select PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet)
7.enter username and password that your service provider has given you
(by default it's usually in the format of your surname first two letter areacode (without zero) your landline number_bsnl division
so if your surname is sharma ,your area code 021,your number 2295434 and division is western india wcdr
then your username sh212295434 and password is by default "password" )
8.now setup WiFi
wireless network name (you can choose any)
region (select india )
channel (auto or select channel 1,6 or 11 for best result)
mode (11bgn mixed or 11bg mixed)
security (select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK (Recommended)) and set your wifi password then click next
you will see your connection status (all must be successfully)
9.now from laptop or mobile turn on wifi,select your wifi name and enter password.
you have successfully configure your adsl2+ router modem
you can also configure wifi by clicking wireless on left side of the router login page
