BMW M3 z pakietem M Competition ma 450 KM. Czy jest jeszcze bardziej dzikie niż zwykłe M3? Moim zdaniem tak, ale w codziennym użyciu. Czym M3 różni się od np. 340i? Samochody opracowane przez dział M mają zwykle specjalnie zaprojektowany sportowy dyferencjał, lekki wał, specjalny wydech, inne silniki, sportowe układy kierownicze z dedykowanymi częściami. To wszystko ma umożliwić eksploatację samochodu pod dużym obciążeniem, jakie występuje na torze. Często słyszę pojękiwania fanów BMW, że downsizing zabija motoryzację i że 6-cylindrowe M3 już nie jest takie samo, jak V8. Trudno się z tym nie zgodzić. 2 cylindry i litro pojemności mniej, dwie turbosprężarki, inny dźwięk, ale przede wszystkim lepsze wykorzystanie dostępnej mocy i niższe zużycie paliwa.
