Makahana kaise banaye ya Makhana banane ka tarika
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups Phool Makhane ( puffed lotus seed or foxnut)
1/2 cup Jaggery
1/2 cup Desiccated unsweetend Coconut
1/4 cup til ( white sesame seeds )
1 tablespoon ghee ( clarified butter )
METHOD:
Heat pan and add ghee into it .
Add makhane and On medium heat roast until they become crispy and light brown in color .This may take 8-10 minutes or roast them unitl they become crispy.
now add til and also roast them.they will start crackling in1-2 mins .
immediately transfer them to plate otherwise they will burn.
now in the same pan add jaggery and stir it continously .
when jaggery completely melted add makhana , til to it . followed by coconut powder.
Keep stirring continuously and jaggery will stick onto the makhane.
after 1 min transfer to a plate.
Allow it to cool and store in an airtight container.
note:
If makhane are not crispy they will turn soggy as soon as we add jaggery to it.
to check if the seeds are well roasted, press in between fingers and it should be hard & brittle/crispy.
