Episode 27: Orange Hot Chocolate Video

It is so Cold outside, so why make some Hot Chocolate but with a twist using Orange! Orange and Chocolate is great Combination!

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp orange extract
Zest of 1 Orange
Tiny Splash of Orange Juice
1/2 cup water
1 quart (4 cups) whole milk

In a large pot over Medium (Moderate) Heat, Simmer water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt stirring until lumps are dissolved about 3 minutes. Add milk and stir and bring slowly to simmer for about 5 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in orange zest, vanilla, orange extract, and orange juice until well blended. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and orange zest on top, optional.
