Fire Truck Gives Steam Train A Moving Car Wash! C&O 2716 On The Move! Video

Special train pulling steam locomotive 2716 for Kentucky Steam Heritage Corp. Winchester Fire Department sprayed water over the train as it passed through downtown Winchester, Kentucky. Clinchfield 800 pulled the train with the 1943 ALCO steam locomotive , C&O caboose that CSX recently restored, a baggage car and passenger car. The track south of Winchester gets very little action since coal dried up a couple years ago. Ravenna yard is used by CSX for car storage and about 40 acres were sold to Kentucky Steam Heritage Corp along with buildings and the wye. I was given a special tour of this area and I am working on a couple more videos. The two RJ Corman geeps were left at Lexington, Kentucky. Frequencies used were 161.370 for CSX and 160.845 for RJ Corman. This Kanawha type steam locomotive will be restored to full operation at the Ravenna car shop. A future video of mine will show the car shop and new lead track that goes to it.
