https://goo.gl/Xo7p7aFirst off, if you've never tried an extended scale Les Paul, they are fantastic! The Buckethead Les Paul has a 27" Scale Length and an oversized, chambered body. How much bigger is this guitar? It is 4 inches longer, 1" wider at the lower bout and 1/2 inch wider and the upper bout. The body is the same 2" thickness. Most of these weigh around 9.5 lbs and they have 24 frets for a full two octaves.
The pickups are Gibson's 496R and 500T ceramic pickups. These are very HOT sounding. The guitar is also equipped with coil splits on the master tone knob and 2 arcade-style, red killswitches.
Buckethead guitars might seem 'gimmicky,' but man, this is a desert island guitar for me. They just sound huge! After playing one of these, all other Les Paul electric guitars just feel like little toys.
These are great if you're a taller person, but not so good if you're short as the guitar will look very large on you!
This buckethead les paul Signature Standard has a slight twist to the neck. The treble side is higher than the bass side, which some view as a plus - but in reality, it is still a defect.
