今天我們來聊聊SSN（Social Security number）社會安全碼吧！
那社會安全碼是什麼呢？
簡單的來說社會安全碼就像是你的身分證號碼一樣！
他除了讓你做為身分證明之外，其實社會安全碼的主要目的就是為了追蹤個人的賦稅資料、個人信用資料等等的，所以每個美國人都有這個社會安全碼
在美國這個社會安全碼是很重要的，在日常生活中也常常會需要用到他！
例如，申辦電話、買車、申請銀行帳號、找工作等等的都需要用到
所以大家到美國之後應該要儘快的去申請社會安全碼，然後儘快的去辦一張信用卡來累積自己的信用記錄
其實在美國沒有社會安全碼跟信用記錄還蠻不方便的！
比如說，今天你要申辦電話，電信公司會要求你出示你的Social Security number。但是你沒有這個東西，所以你這個人在美國就等於沒有信用
所以電信公司就會不相信你會按時繳費，他們會向你收取很高的保證金才會讓你申請電話
又譬如說，你要租房子，如果你沒有Social Security number跟信用記錄的話呢，你的房東也會向你收取很高的保證金，以防你不按時繳房租
那留學生要怎麼獲得Social Security number呢？（一般留學生／外國人是不能申請的！）
最簡單的方式就是在學校裡面找打工機會，你只要一在學校裡面找到工作，你就可以申請社會安全碼了！

那當你拿到Social Security number之後，因為你這個號碼是新的，所以完全沒有任何的記錄。對於要去申請很多東西當然還是不太方便
像是我現在雖然有SSN，但我的信用記錄只有一點點，因為我平常的時候都是花小錢而已（大錢都花媽媽的），所以信用記錄不會累積的很快
我連租這個房子的時候，我這邊的管理公司都跟我說，因為我的信用記錄沒有很高，所以他們可能會跟我收很高的保證金
所以他們建議我去找一個信用記錄比較高的人來當我的保證人，或者是以他的名字來承租這個房子。（那個人就是我媽啦！）
所以當我們拿到Social Security number之後，我們要快點累積自己的信用
當然累積信用記錄最快的方法就是去申請貸款，然後按時還款，這樣才會有良好的信用記錄
但留學生誰會沒事去申請貸款呀？申請貸款來要幹嘛？
所以另一個累積信用的方法就是去申請信用卡。在美國信用卡是很方便的，他既可以幫你累積信用，又可以幫你省錢，你也可以不用天天帶著大把的鈔票到處跑
那，其實美國有很多的信用卡都還不錯，很多都有蠻好的福利跟回饋金的
這個我在之前的那個“在美國生活不能不知道的日常生活省錢妙招”影片裡已經有推薦了兩張我覺得還不錯的信用卡！如果大家有興趣的話，可以去了解一下！
當然我也會在這個影片下面的說明欄裡面放上幾張推薦的信用卡連結，大家可以自己去比較看看，看看自己喜歡哪張？哪張比較適合自己，然後可以直接申請。（信用卡申請僅限在美國居住的朋友）
