How to Fix Samsung Galaxy S10/S9/S8/S7/Note10 Oversaturated Videos on Mac [REC2020] Video

In this video we find out why Samsung Galaxy videos look very red on Macs, and show you how to fix it by installing ffmpeg and running a few commands.

Step 1 | Install Homebrew

Step 2 | Install ffmpeg
brew tap varenc/ffmpeg
brew tap-pin varenc/ffmpeg
brew install ffmpeg --with-fdk-aac --with-libvidstab

Step 3 | Run convert command
ffmpeg -i "SOURCE_VIDEO.mp4" "FIXED_VIDEO.mp4"

UPDATE - 3 Months Later
Samsung released a new firmware update which now requires you to re-encode the entire video rather than simply update the headers, so the process will be a lot slower than using the previous -c copy method shown in this video.

UPDATE - 10 Months Later
Just tested Android 9.0 and I can confirm that the new One UI Camera app no longer records in the Rec2020 color space even with HDR turned on.
