Anggota Komisi III DPR dari Fraksi PDI Perjuangan Masinton Pasaribu mengatakan Presiden Jokowi sangat komitmen untuk menuntaskan kasus Novel Baswedan. Hal itu terlihat dengan bantuan penuh biaya pengobatan Novel Baswedan di Singapura yang menghabiskan dana kurang lebih 4 miliar rupiah. “Soal kasus-kasus teror. saya pikir itu butuh waktu. Biarkan polisi bekerja,” kata Masinton.

Kuasa hukum Novel, Saur Siagian mengatakan teror kepada penyidik KPK yang tidak pernah tuntas bukanlah sekadar teror biasa. “Ini teror terhadap negara. Teror terhadap pemberantasan korupsi. Saya ingat, Pak Laode bilang, itu bomnya kalau jatuhnya tepat nyawanya bisa melayang. Ini sudah serius. Mengapa ini TPF seperti tim penyerang Novel bukan justru mencari orang yang menyerang Novel,” kata Saur.
