Legality of Object || Void Agreements || Contingent Contracts Video

The object or consideration of an agreement must be lawful, in order to make the agreement a valid contract.
Section 23 covers what kind of considerations and objects are not lawful.
If the object or consideration is unlawful for one or other of the reasons mentioned in Section 23, the agreement is "illegal" and therefore void.
What Considerations and Objects are Unlawful?
1. If it is forbidden by law
2. If it is of such a nature that, if permitted, it would defeat the provisions of any law
3. If it is fraudulent
4. If it involves or implies injury to the person or property of another
5. If the court regards it as immoral
6. If the court regards it as "opposed to public policy"
