Prapiroon is stalling, and is now barely holding on to its typhoon status out in the Pacific Ocean. The storm is expected to move north-northwestwards, nearing the Ryukyu Island chain and Daito Islands, before moving northeastwards and largely avoiding the mainland of Japan, though some bad weather may occur along the coast. Prapiroon may intensify slightly before continuing the weakening trend after turning northeastwards, and eventually turning extratropical.
