출애굽의 기적들 중에 하나님의 능력을 온 백성이 오감으로 경험한 기적이 홍해의 기적이다.
모세가 지팡이를 들고 손을 홍해 위에 내밀었을 때 눈앞에 가장 큰 장애물, 홍해 바다가 큰 벽이 되어 온 이스라엘백성들이 바다를 건널 수 있도록 지켜주었다.

그리고 이스라엘 백성들의 온전한 구원의 증거가 바로 마른 땅이다.

어린아이와 노인들도, 몸이 불편한 사람들도 그리고 짐을 실은 수레까지 모두 안전하게 건너려면 진흙 땅이 아닌 마른 땅이어야 했다.
그래야 무사히 건널 수 있다.
마른 땅은 주님의 위대한 능력과 사랑의 증거이다.

이 마른땅을 이스라엘 백성들은 또 한번 경험한다.
바로 모세의 후계자, 여호수아와 함께 요단강 앞에서 마른땅을 보게 된다.

구원을 얻은 이스라엘 백성들이 약속의 땅, 가나안 땅을 차지하기위해 반드시 건너야하는 강이 요단강이다.
물이 범람하는 시기와 맞물린 요단당 앞에서 이번에는 열두지파의 제사장들이 언약궤를 어깨에 메고 믿음의 한발짝을 요단강에 내딛었다. 순종하였다.
위에서부터 흐르던 물이 그치고 온전히 그쳐서 요단강의 마른땅을 보게 하셨다.
하나님은 이스라엘 백성들이 마른땅 위를 건너게 하셨다.
믿음의 행동을 통해 기적을 또 한번 보게 하셨다.

하나님의 구원의 흔적, 믿음의 삶의 흔적, 마른땅.

마른땅은 하나님은 능력이며, 하나님은 사랑이심을 증명한다.
