Lakshmi (लक्ष्मी) is the goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity; of both material and spiritual. She is the wife and active energy (शक्ति) of Vishnu,नारायण. Maa Lakshmi is also known as Narayani, Her four hands represent the four goals of human life considered important to the Hindu way of life- dharma, kāma, artha, and moksha
Lakshmi is also called Sri or Thirumagal because she is endowed with six auspicious and divine strength even to Vishnu.
Sri Sukta, also called Sri Suktam, is a Sanskrit devotional hymn (set of slokas) revering Sri or Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity and fertility. Sri sukta is recited, with a strict adherence to the vedic meter, to invoke the goddess' blessings.

हिरण्यवर्णां हरिणीं सुवर्णरजतस्त्रजाम् ।
चन्द्रां हिरण्मयीं लक्ष्मीं जातवेदो म आवह
तां म आवह जातवेदो लक्ष्मीमनपगामिनीम् ।
यस्यां हिरण्यं विन्देयं गामश्वं पुरुषानहम्
अश्वपूर्वां रथमध्यां हस्तिनाद प्रबोधिनीम् ।

उपैतु मां देवसखः कीर्तिश्च मणिना सह ।
प्रादुर्भूतोस्मि राष्ट्रेऽस्मिन् किर्तिमृद्धिं ददातु मे ॥
क्षुत्पिपासामलां ज्येष्ठामलक्ष्मीं नाशयाम्यहम् ।
अभूतिमसमृद्धिं च सर्वां निर्णुद मे गृहात् ॥
गन्धद्वारां दुराधर्षां नित्यपुष्टां करीषिणीम् ।
ईश्वरीगं सर्वभूतानां तामिहोपह्वये श्रियम्
मनसः काममाकूतिं वाचस्सत्यमशीमहि ।
